Welcome to Yamamizuki. This Traditional Ryokan has 22 beautiful Japanese-style rooms, and many of the guest rooms have their own private bath and toilet. There are shared indoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only) at Yamamizuki, and there are 2 shared outdoor hot spring baths for women. There is also a mixed outdoor hot spring bath (both genders). Yamamizuki serves traditional Japanese-style cuisine to the guests. Check-in time is after 14:00 and check-out time is before 11:00 am. Parking is available.

  The place was absolutely beautiful. The room that we stayed in was spacious and very clean. The service was exceptional and were very welcoming to us. Both the breakfast and dinner set was amazing; hard to find a place that can match the quality of food that this place served. The onsen was fantastic with a river flowing by. Overall I would recommend anyone to at least try this place for one night. A very good place to getaway and relax for a night

  Friendly staff, clean and relaxing space, and great food! We also learned a lot about traditional Japanese culture. Though it's a bit further from the centre of town, we did not find this to be a problem because we arrived in Kurokawa Onsen in the morning and were able to check out some of the other onsens in town before getting picked up to go to Yamamizuki in the afternoon. We had an unforgettable time at Yamamizuki and would highly recommend it!

  Beautiful Ryokan in a unique scenery: alongside a river in the woods, but still on walking distance of Kurukowa village. Warm and professional welcome: feels like home. We had a private onsen next to our very spacious tradional room: highly recommended. Outside onsens (men and women separately) are extremely nice. Food is fantastic, presentation perfect, served in private dining rooms. Sufficient English speaking staff available. Shuttle service to bus stops. Certainly worth the bus trip from Fukuoka, recommended to stay here for two nights. Top!

  A classic traditional onsen that fits well to foreigners too. Everything is top notch: the rooms, the service, the food, the ambiance, the wonderful outdoor spas. A place to ho back to again and again! The location away from town (20 min walk) ads to the tranquility and seclusion.

  Spent 1 night at Yamamizuki and made ample use of both the private ensuite onsen as well as the public indoor/outdoor onsen. All the bathing experiences were wonderfully relaxing, serene and beautiful. Kurokawa Onsen is fantastic. The kaiseki dinner was amazing - service, presentation and food quality. The breakfast was less impressive but still quite good. Overall would definitely recommend Yamamizuki for a relaxing and beautiful getaway.
