Welcome to Ishicho Shogikuen. This Modern Ryokan has 2 main buildings - a 'Honkan" (original building) and their "Oyado Ishicho" which is their annex. Ishicho Shogikuen is located in central Kyoto beside the Kamogawa River, and it is also located on the former residence of Kogoro Katsura, who was a noble patriot during the Meiji Restoration. All 50 guest rooms at Ishicho Shogikuen are traditional Japanese-style, and each room has its own private bath and toilet. There is also a hot spring bath for the guests. There is one shared bath for women and two shared baths for men. Japanese-style meals are served at Ishicho Shogikuen.
