Location: Shimoda Onsen (Shimoda Hot Spring), Shizuoka Prefecture

Kaze Ryokan is set in some beautiful surroundings, you can really unwind by the sea or under the trees or in a relaxing hot spring bath wrapped in a beautiful landscape.
Sun rise and sunsets are a beautiful sight that you can even enjoy from the comfort of your room. On a clear, sunny day you can enjoy views of the Izu Seven Islands and the Tumezaki Lighthouse. The area can be so beautiful that even the Japanese Imperial Family have a villa close to this Ryokan.
Being close to the sea, Kaze Ryokan only serve the freshest fish in the Traditional Japanese Kaiseki Style.

Directions: By train: (2 hours and 40 minutes by train from Tokyo). Take the JR “Tokaido Line” heading for “Atami”, At Atami change to the JR “Ito Line” heading for “Ito”then at Ito change to the JR “Izukyu line” heading to “Shimoda” station. From Shimoda Station, it takes about 10 minutes by taxi or take a bus heading for "Tsumekizaki Green Area Bus Stop", (takes around 15 minutes by bus from Shimoda Station to Tsumekizaki Green Area Bus Stop) and then it is a 1 minute walk to the Ryokan. During slow season they offer a pick up service.
