Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to Kikuya Ryokan. This large Luxurious Ryokan is located beside the Katsuragawa River and is surrounded by a gorgeous Japanese garden. Kikuya Ryokan has 40 Japanese-style rooms, and most guest rooms have their own private bath and toilet. There are 4 indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only). In the outdoor hot spring baths, guest have a wonderful view of Kikuya Ryokan's Japanese garden. The indoor hot spring baths are open 24 hours a day, and the outdoor hot spring baths are open from 5:30 am until 23:30. There is also a swimming pool with hot spring water, and a "family bath" which means a family can reserve the bath and bathe in private. Kikuya Ryokan serves fresh, seasonal, traditional Japanese cuisine to the guests. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available.
