From Tokyo Train Station: Take a Joetsu Shinkansen Bullet Train to Jomokogen train station a 75 minute train ride. Next, take a bus bound for Sarugakyo Onsen a 40 minute bus ride. When you arrive at the last stop, take another bus for 15 minutes or a taxi for 15 minutes to Hoshi Onsen.
From Ueno Train Station: Take a Minakami Limited Express train to Gokan train station. From Gokan train station, take a bus bound for Sarugakyo Onsen a 40 minute bus ride. When you arrive at the last stop, take another bus for 15 minutes or a taxi for 15 minute to Hoshi Onsen.
