Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.
Take the Kintetsu train on the Osaka Kintetsu train line to Nara Station and then please take a bus called Nara Kotsu. This is a loop line and please get off at at Wariishi-cho bus stop and the ryokan will be a 5 minute walk.
