From Tokyo, Take the Nagano Shinkansen to Ueda Station (You will be on-board for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes), From Ueda Station change to the local Shinano Railway bound for Togura Station (Travel time: Approximately 15 minutes). Then from Togura Station, you can either take a taxi (cost approximately 1000 yen), walk (approximately 20 minutes), or take the purple “Hotto” bus. Kamesei Ryokan also provides a pick-up service upon request. NOTE: There are also bus services from Ikebukuro Station (this is a highway bus service to Ueda Station) or Osaka Station (overnight bus to Nagano City).
