To reach Kusatsu Onsen Osakaya; 1) From Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi station, please take a local bus to Kusatsu Onsen (25 minute ride). From the Kusatsu Onsen bus stop, the ryokan can pick you up (reservations are required). 2) From Shinjuku in Tokyo; from the Busta Shinjuku (bus terminal), please take the Express bus (reservations are required) to Kusatsu Onsen bus stop. It's a 3 and a half hour ride. It's operated by JR Express Bus. From the Kusatsu Onsen bus stop, the ryokan can pick you up (reservations are required).
