Welcome to Ryokan Mantei. This Traditional Ryokan was originally the summer retreat of a famous Kyoto tea house. Built during the Taisho era (1912-1926), Ryokan Mantei was reconstructed in 1953 and today houses 11 Japanese and Western-style rooms and 3 private guest residences. There are hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only), and Ryokan Mantei also has a partially outdoor hot spring bath (see photo). Japanese “kaiseki” (traditional, formal cuisine) is served to the guests. Ryokan Mantei is decorated with French-style furniture and French cuisine is also served every Wednesday night. Check-in time is after 2:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. Parking is available.
