Welcome to the Sounkaku Grand Hotel. This Ryokan Hotel is one of the top resort hotels in Sounkyo Onsen and indeed Hokkaido. There are 158 Japanese-style rooms in the Sounkaku Grand Hotel, and each guest room has its own private bath and toilet. The indoor hot spring baths are located on the 1st floor. The women’s 2 baths hold up to 80 bathers, and the men’s 3 baths can accommodate up to 100 bathers. The baths are open 24 hours a day. The outdoor hot spring baths at Sounkaku Grand Hotel command a view of the surrounding Taisetsusan National Park and the Ishikari River below. The women’s bath is large enough for 20 bathers, and the men’s bath can hold up to 30 bathers. The baths are open from 5:00am until 24:00 midnight. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs in the hotel. Check-in time is after 3:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. English is spoken at the Sounkaku Grand Hotel.
