The view and location are beautiful if you like a quiet, a bit out of the way area. The walk into the town near restaurants and shops is about 15-20 minutes, but you don’t notice because there are many things to observe on the way including shrines and the working harbor. You can take a nice walk on the rocks out into the sea and see the sunset and enjoy the sea air. The interior lounge feels a bit dated, but the view to the sea makes you hardly care. The staff are very informative, formal and kind. Very comfortable futons. Areas of carpet in the rooms seem a bit old and worn, but clean. The food was very delicious and a treat to eat some of the local specialties. Baths were organized and relaxed. We visited in October, so the small beach was nearly empty then, but we don’t know what it would be like in warmer weather. There is also a saltwater pool nearby that looked really cool, but it was too cold to swim. A great location and totally worth the little splurge at the end of our trip. We would come back. The only annoyance was an exterior light outside our window that put a lot of light into our room and into our eyes outside at night.
  • Beautiful view and nice food!

Our room had a great ocean view. The futons were so comfortable and the staff was very helpful and explained everything about the facility and the meals to us. I loved the location on the sea with a neat place to hike out onto the rocks or right onto the beach. It’s a small distance away from downtown Wajima city- about a 20 minute walk to any restaurant if you’re not eating at the hotel. The only thing I would note is that the carpets are a little old and stained in the elevators and in the small section of the guest rooms that they are in. Otherwise everything was spotless. The bathing facilities were well equipped and the small outdoor bath was nice too.
