Welcome to Dozen Ryokan. This 100-year-old traditional Japanese Inn that has been renovated and reimagined as a conceptual ryokan, based on Kyoto’s HANAMACHI. Hanamachi (花街) refers to Japan’s Geiko/Maiko Districts, with Kyoto’s most famous hanamachi being Gion. This ryokan consists of 11 private rooms and 1 cafe, together making up a “dozen,” to offer you a unique new way to enjoy the traditionally and historically rich city of Kyoto. Each room at this ryokan has been named after one of the many recognizable symbols of Japan, such as the sumo, samurai, ninja, etc. This newly updated ryokan provides you with modern conveniences while maintaining the traditional touches that make up a Japanese ryokan special. There is no bath at Dozen Ryokan.
