Kachoan projects a traditional and elegant atmosphere and design with its gorgeous lobby and exquisite Japanese arts and crafts decorating the walls and interior. There are 33 Japanese-style guest rooms in Kachoan as well as a large bathing area for the guests. The restaurant is not to be missed as it provides both an intimate dining experience as well as a chance to see traditional Japanese architectural design at its finest. Check-in time is after 2:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. Parking is available and some English is spoken. There is also a pick up service from JR Takayama train station.
