My husband and I stayed one night there to celebrate my birthday and we had a fantastic time! The room was quite spacious (keep in mind Japanese standards) with seats inside and on the balcony. We were told to choose our yukata from a selection on the shelves (they had different sizes) and were given everything to enjoy our stay. There were drinks in the fridge for us to purchase or we could call reception if we wanted something else (with choices of local ale and sake). We were given a map of the town with points of interests. Then there are the onsen baths. We got to try all three private onsen baths (two at night and one the next morning). They were really nice and it's difficult to pick a favourite. I was really happy to finally be able to enjoy onsen (I have tattoos), and being able to use them privately just the two of us felt very romantic. But the best was probably the food. Dinner was delicious! Lots of local products and it was all very well prepared. They gave us a menu in English, and the young lady did her best to explain the dishes in English (she kept apologising for not speaking English but she actually spoke it reasonably well). We took the beef upgrade, which was also excellent, although the grill got cold a bit too fast (our maybe we were just too slow grilling our meat) so the last piece was a bit of a challenge to cook. There was a lot of food, but it was too yummy to stop. Breakfast was also very nice, with local apple juice. If you're looking for a quality onsen break in a quiet area look no further! That was definitely my best birthday so far.
