Welcome to Kikunoyu. This is a very special Traditional Ryokan with a very special architectural design. The "honmune-dukuri" style is the style of traditional private residences in Matsumoto, and this tradition goes back over 200 years. All of the 17 guest rooms at Kikunoyu are traditional Japanese-style, and many (not all) guest rooms have their own private bath and toilet. The indoor shared hot spring baths are made of Italian marble and granite, and they are open 24 hours a day. The outdoor shared hot spring bath is open from 6:00 am until 23:00. In some of the guest rooms at Kikunoyu there are private Japanese cypress wooden baths. Every month the meals served at Kikunoyu changes to take advantage of the best available food offered that season. In order to make the guests feel welcome, homemade cake and Japanese green tea are served to the guests upon their arrival at Kikunoyu. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is also available.
