    Although it needs a small hike from the carpark down, it is 100% worth it. Best food, most friendly staff and a good balance between authenticity and modernization. Should also note that a big cut I had healed overnight after using their onsen.

    This was my first visit of the Akita prefecture, and I really wanted to enjoy the Nyuto Onsen hot springs. I wasn't disappointed by my choice of the Kuroyu Onsen ryokan. The seven bathes were amazing, the food delicious and the service was on point for every aspects of our stay. I can only recommend the Kuroyu Onsen ryokan for your stay in Nyuto Onsen.

    This is my second visit to Nyuto Onsen after 9 years. We were VERY lucky to have secured a one night stay at during the golden week. The Onsen is one of the best we’ve tried in the area, in particular, the rustic atmosphere, the cleanliness, spacious and newly renovated room with private toilet (Room no 25) and the sumptuous dinner spread. Staff were very warm and friendly. They speak good English and entire experience was fuss free which included the pick up to and fro from the bus stop, the orientation around the vicinity. We were deeply impressed and would highly recommend Kuroyu!
