What is a Ryokan? Ryokans are the best way to experience Japanese culture and enjoy the true comforts of Japanese hospitality and service.
Hot springs have a very long history in Japan, and they are an intimate part of Japanese culture. There are over 3,000 "onsen" ,or hot springs, in Japan. Many can be found at the ryokans available on Japanese Guest Houses.

Welcome to Sakamotoya. This Traditional Ryokan is located in cosmopolitan Nagasaki City and has a history going all the way back to 1895, when it was first opened. There are 11 Japanese style rooms available, each with a private bath and toilet. Two family baths (not hot spring baths) are open 15:00-24:00. Traditional Japanese cuisine is served to guests at Sakamotoya, and local Shippoku Cuisine (a cuisine unique to Nagasaki that blends Western, Chinese and Japanese foods) is available as an extra order.
