Welcome to The Edo Sakura. The architect-owner, built on his extensive experience in the traditional architecture of Kyoto, has taken care of the smallest details of the architectural design of The Edo Sakura. In the metropolitan city of Tokyo, a stay at The Edo Sakura is like traveling back in time to the traditional low-lying areas in the past - nostalgic, relieved and warm.

Very comfortable, wonderful hospitality. I would definitely return to this ryokan. A excellent place to stay in Tokyo, well located, clean, enthusiastic staff, good breakfast.

Not an old-style house like other Ryokans, yet a lot of atmosphere. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast (Japanese and western style) and we liked the tea ceremony. The rooms are traditionally equiped with tatamis, the futon is quite hard - but we got used to it (they offer a second to soften it, if you want). First we had a room with a window close to a wall, we didn't like this really. We changed to another sunny room, which was very nice. The location is quite interesting with several fine Izakayas, nice houses and close to 2 subway stations.

A lovely way to start my visit to Japan. The ryokan is in a nice quiet area. The welcome was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable once I had got used to the futon.

This is an excellent quite neighbourhood to explore Tokyo from, Just a few minutes walk from Iriya subway station. Basic Traditional Japanese style rooms with on floor sleeping. Breakfast is good with Japanese and Western options. What really makes this place is the very friendly and helpful staff. No hesitation in recommending, providing you can sleep on a futon.
